Florida based marketing experts, EMIE Marketing hosted a motivational workshop this past week on maintaining momentum.
As a firm with big goals it is important that the people they work with are motivated and inspired to achieve their goals. EMIE Marketing have gained some tremendous momentum recently and to ensure they keep it up, Managing Director at EMIE Marketing, Eric Lucero hosted a workshop on the subject.
“We know that great things happen when momentum reaches its peak, and I want to make sure we keep that momentum going to ensure we end the year on a high, ” Said Eric Lucero.
MD Eric Lucero has set out 5 key points to focus on:
Keep setting bigger goals
It’s easy to get complacent; once people achieve their goals they are happy to settle. However in order to keep the momentum going it’s important to keep setting bigger goals. Eric Lucero stressed this, using the example of the firm expanding its market reach into new cities across the US, not settling for running one great office in Orlando.
Setting new objectives consistently keeps people moving full steam ahead.
Effective goal setters know the importance of regularly reviewing progress to make sure they are still on track and moving forward. Eric Lucero recommended weekly progress evaluations.
Take time away from the office
Entrepreneurs can be extremely controlling by wanting to do everything and over-committing, endangering themselves of burning out. The most successful people know it’s important to take time away from the office to have some fun and downtime. At EMIE Marketing they have weekly socials to connect away from an office environment, build personal relationships and in turn form a strong bond which will help them to be more effective at work.
Remember why you started
“Remember why you started out on this journey in the first place,” said Eric Lucero. While the initial buzz will often dissipate, its important to remember what it was that started the journey.
Celebrate small victories
Big goals take longer to achieve, and the key to achieving them is hitting small goals along the way. In order to not get off track Eric Lucero urged individuals to celebrate the small victories.
